This year’s lineup includes 50 bands who will be playing on 10 volunteer stages around the Woodmoor neighborhood.

  • Hailing from Washington DC, Curse Words have spent the past 10 years writing spaced out pop punk; with socio-political songs pretentiously masquerading as post apocalyptic sci-fi lyrics. They believe in the power of friendship, community and the importance of being as energetic and entertaining on stage as possible.

  • Thrash/Classic Speed metal band from Montgomery County Maryland. Young adult metal heads with high speed and energy playing covers and many originals.

  • Letters to Delphi is a musical collaboration from Northern Virginia featuring Don Potter and Izzy Burke along with various collaborators and co-conspirators.

    Taking an intuitive approach to songwriting - informed by Americana, dream pop, and indie rock - Letters to Delphi’s sound captures feelings of fleeting exuberance, wistful nostalgia, and quiet angst.

  • Railsplitter is a DC-based punk rock band inspired by the gruff yet melodic sounds of Leatherface, Jawbreaker, The Lemonheads and Husker Du.

  • Straddling the line between alternative and hard rock, The Heavy Editors' are bringing guitar-oriented rock back in unapologetic fashion. "The Heavy Editors make pure post-punk power pop, exquisitely-crafted and impeccably played…real rock and roll played by musicians with real chops." — Radio Free Charleston

  • Alternative/alt rock. In addition to originals we play high energy songs by artists like deftones and the smashing pumpkins, and also calmer music like mac demarco and phoebe bridgers.

  • Suburban Decay is a punk band with a 90s sound, combining skate punk, hardcore, and pop punk.

  • Born out of a post-college ska/punk act, Jesse, Kevin, and Adam re-branded circa 2010 as a 3-piece playing all over the DC & Baltimore area ever since. Influenced by 90's rock and 2000’s punk we made up our own genre, post-ska/punk, evolving from a horn-driven sound to a polished beer-fueled onslaught. We're a versatile DIY band that can adapt to most bills, catering to a variety of audiences.

  • We’re a blues based psych rock band! We have tons of influence from both classic rock and the modern psych scene in Australia :)

  • YTRAP String Band is a group of musicians coming together from central and southern Pa, Maryland and the Carolinas, to play homage to those that are forever looking for a YTRAP in the Gap. YTRAP's performances give a nod to the past and the present. Influences from Doc Watson, to Old and In the Way, to John Prine and Billy Strings.

  • Synthpop Band plays your favorite Synthpop hits from the 80s.

  • We are a Silver Spring-based, modern rock group (primarily originals, some covers) with a wide range of influences, from 80s indie (REM, Church, etc.), maybe a dash of old U2 and Police, some classic rock (e.g., Jimi, soul, Grateful Dead), funk, world music, and jam band.   • Bud Skeleton came together from folks in the active jam scene in the Takoma Park/Silver Spring area, with a southerner and northerner thrown in. The band has been rocking the Washington DC metro are for the past 12 years and is currently playing an eclectic mix of back catalogue music from the Dead, Stones, Petty, Band, Neil Young, Allman Bros, Winehouse mixed in with some Southside Chicago blues.

  • WeaverSmith plays a fun blend of folk, rock, and pop covers and award winning original tunes.

  • DC-based progressive bluegrass band

  • The Red Castle Blues Band was formed specifically to participate in the 2011 Smithsonian Folklife Festival Staff Picnic and has been gigging in the DMV area ever since. The band is influenced by the classic rocks sounds of the 1960’s and 1970’s and plays originals and rock and blues covers.

  • Isn’t That So is a DMV based sextet of veteran musicians that delights in presenting exquisitely curated sets of “Americana” music, broadly defined. Strong instrumental chops and a wide tonal palette are summoned in service of the song, highlighting the group’s soulful vocals and tight harmonies. The band knits together blues, swing, country, folk, jazz, soul, and pop influences spanning decades. Isn’t That So casts a spell that invites you to pause, reflect, listen, dance, sing along, and celebrate the rich tapestry of American music.

  • Olney based band, led by singer/songwriter Michael Occhionero. Playing an eclectic mix of original indie rock with an occasional cover that’s just off the beaten path.

  • Booze Island is an eclectic cover band known to do mash-ups of the 70s-80s you forgot you loved with the 90s-00s you could never forget, like Modest Mouse, Miley Cyrus and other hits.

  • Based in the Washington, DC area, Apollo 66 plays garage punk rock 'n' roll to help you forget about the coming apocalypse! Their music fits somewhere in the space-time-continuum of the Sonics, The Cramps, Misfits, Dick Dale, and Link Wray and all the great music that came before and after it (although with considerably less talent and professionalism, but with just enough enthusiasm to make it work).

    Apollo 66 has released many bootleg-style recordings of their live shows on Bandcamp along with two EPs, a self-titled 5-song EP in early 2021 and their 4-song EP, “We Could Be Gone,” in September 2022. Both EPs are available on Bandcamp and most streaming services. They have performed at several nightclubs and outdoor venues in the Mid-Atlantic and their music has been featured on college, internet, and community radio stations. Since 2018, the band has hosted a monthly garage punk rock night in Silver Spring, MD, featuring local and occasionally touring bands.

  • Formed in 2015, this Rockville based group of talented musicians and friends plays an eclectic mix of nostalgia rock. Remember, cool dads are in bands!

  • Singer/Songwriter duo of lead guitarist Rich Morey and bass guitar/rhythm guitarist Michael Occhionero.

    Bringing a wide range of organic, soulful music including but not limited to blues, Americana, indie, and folk.

  • 504 Plan is a young punk band based out of DC that plays originals and covers.

  • The Magmatics, formerly Dirty Bomb, play a distinctive brand of funk-space-rock that sounds like the Meters playing Pink Floyd covers on Van Halen’s equipment.

  • This local indie-folk band blends in rock and R&B, with a mix of originals and favorites. Come dance!

  • Loki is a neighborhood band from across the Beltway. We play classic and modern rock songs, from the Stones to Tom Petty to Weezer. 3 guitars, bass, and drums.

  • We’re an acoustic trio playing Beatles music, including songs from the solo careers of John, Paul, George, and Ringo. Expect tight harmonies, fancy guitar picking, and songs you know and love. Plus some deep tracks because we’re super fans.

  • We play fun rock music featuring acoustic and electric guitar and a standup bass. Our set will be 3/4 covers and 1/4 originals.

  • Bring the kids to an interactive family show of folk and pop favorites!

  • The W.H.O. will have you dancing to their spin on classic rock and contemporary indie tunes. You’ll meet band members Ferzam “Fuzzy” Mohammed, Alex Parsky, Stafanie Abramowitz, Wyatt Talcott, Adam Glastris, Jackie Zidar, and Edwin Huamani.

  • Bohemian Waxwing is the solo project of Mike Mangiaracina, who more often is seen playing with DC area band Grey Swift. Grey Swift has played many shows in the area, including the first two Woodmoorstocks and at Fort Reno. As Bohemian Waxwing, Mike has released four EP's of introspective pop and instrumental music, with influences ranging from Brian Eno to Yo La Tengo. Live, Mike performs an array of original loop-based songs on electric guitar, mingling traditional song structures with ambient textures.   • Our music is a unique blend of pop and rock, drawing inspiration from iconic artists such as The Pretenders, Blondie, The Velvet Underground, PJ Harvey, Cage the Elephant, XTC, and David Bowie. If you’re a fan of The Dead Weather, St. Vincent, Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, Gwen Stefani, Garbage, Paramore, and Pink, then I believe you’ll find our music resonates with your tastes.

  • The Beanstalk Library’s roots-inflected classic pop songcraft and adventurous live performances have earned them accolades from The Washington Post and comparisons to Big Star and Wilco. After a handful of single releases, they are currently recording a new full-length album.

  • Woodmoor Jammers is a neighborhood band that has been performing (Americana) music together for several years. We sing and play guitar, piano, cello, mandolin, banjo, harmonica, cajon, and recorder.

  • Goldbug Revival is an Americana band bursting at the seams with love for great songwriting and original music. Members have performed with Grammy-nominated and Hall-of-Fame artists, toured internationally, and played many local venues including the AMP at Strathmore, Hank Dietles, Lucketts, Earps Ordinary, and New Deal Cafe.   • 4 Corners 3 is a group of three seasoned musicians who play a blend of evocative classic rock interpretations and indie originals. The three reside in the Woodmoor/Indian Spring area of Silver Spring. Lead singer and guitarist Jim Finelli and violinist and bassist Williard Morris, both Indian Spring residents, have played in notable D.C.-area bands throughout the years, including Jimmy Finn and Ayreheart. Woodmoor resident Jim Barry, a Woodmoor Jammers and 8-Car Train founding member, plays keyboards and guitar. Jim Finelli’s music can be accessed via Soundcloud using his name as a search term. Ayerheart can be accessed via Spotify. Jim Barry’s music is available via Bandcamp using the search term “8–Car Train.”

  • Cosmic Monsoon are veterans of the Montgomery County music scene who present high energy classic rock with a modern twist. Cosmic Monsoon members John Wills, Lance Crist, Gianne McNeil, Peppin Thomas and Bill Thomas have earned a reputation for their inspired creative vision and high volume live shows.

  • Some non regional non denominational non time place collection of misfits housed on an apocalyptic alien asteroid floating in the stratosphere.
