Born out of a post-college ska/punk act, Jesse, Kevin, and Adam re-branded circa 2010 as a 3-piece playing all over the DC & Baltimore area ever since. Influenced by 90's rock and 2000’s punk we made up our own genre, post-ska/punk, evolving from a horn-driven sound to a polished beer-fueled onslaught. We're a versatile DIY band that can adapt to most bills, catering to a variety of audiences.
-
Hailing from Washington DC, Curse Words have spent the past 10 years writing spaced out pop punk; with socio-political songs pretentiously masquerading as post apocalyptic sci-fi lyrics. 2010s DC rock staples are back for their first show in 6 years! From DC Rock Live blog: Sotano “starts with a loose post glam rock and punk it up in the way of the NY Dolls and grind it out in a garage meets pub rock style”, and “ Their performance sounded like the singular narrative of a long, adventurous highway ride... bandmates provide an energetic classic-rock vibe to their songs, lending an AC/DC swagger to the music before shifting into a bluesy stomp. Sotano gives the sense of setting out for a prize in the great wide open while enjoying every minute of the chase.”
-
Straddling the line between alternative and hard rock, The Heavy Editors' are bringing guitar-oriented rock back in unapologetic fashion. "The Heavy Editors make pure post-punk power pop, exquisitely-crafted and impeccably played…real rock and roll played by musicians with real chops." --Radio Free Charleston

Their debut EP, “What is the Meaning of This?”, was released in August 2024.

Imagine the voice of Sara Bareilles mixed with the honesty of Joni Mitchell and the poetic lyricism of Ani DiFranco. If there's one word to describe Rebecca Berlin it is alchemy. Her musical style, “folk with a twist”-blends the narrative quality of traditional folk with elements of jazz and musical theater, and she is known for unique melodies and song structures, vulnerable storytelling and a voice that cuts through the noise.

Based in the Washington, DC area, Apollo 66 plays garage punk rock 'n' roll to help you forget about the coming apocalypse! Their music fits somewhere in the space-time-continuum of the Sonics, The Cramps, Misfits, Dick Dale, and Link Wray and all the great music that came before and after it (although with considerably less talent and professionalism, but with just enough enthusiasm to make it work).
Apollo 66 has released many bootleg-style recordings of their live shows on Bandcamp along with two EPs, a self-titled 5-song EP in early 2021 and their 4-song EP, “We Could Be Gone,” in September 2022. Both EPs are available on Bandcamp and most streaming services.
